With more than 40 years as an occupational therapist — the majority spent specializing in post-stroke recovery — Oliver Moore incorporated Myofascial Release into his practice a decade ago to reduce pain and improve mobility. In recent years he has shifted his focus almost entirely to pain relief and mobility using MFR.
Schedule a Free Initial ConsultationMFR is a gentle, hands-on therapy that works with your body's fascia — the web-like connective tissue that can become restricted after injury, surgery, or even emotional stress. Oliver studied and practices the John Barnes Myofascial Release Approach — a gentle, never-forced, sustained-hold method, distinct from other "myofascial release" techniques that use deeper, often painful pressure.
Light, sustained pressure is applied directly to the skin until it meets the fascial barrier — then we simply wait for the tissue to release on its own, rather than forcing it with deeper pressure.
Fascial restrictions often build up over years. Treatment takes an unhurried, whole-body view rather than chasing a single "quick fix."
Most people see steady improvement over a series of sessions — though many notice a meaningful difference after just one treatment.
Oliver's goal is to help you return to a pain-free, active lifestyle. Drawing on decades of clinical experience, he works with clients experiencing pain and restricted mobility from a wide range of causes.
